Unabridged Audiobook
I really enjoyed this book. I would like to read a book regarding 1776 written in a similar way.
I enjoyed the book. The author presents the War of 1812 in a very thorough manner. He gets a little too far in the weeds however in some aspects of his story. His title of the book seems more like a way to get hide the fact that the book is about the war with Britain on the Canadian border. It's not a civil war per se since it doesn't meet the criteria of what a civil war is. If the book was titled, "The 1812 War for Canada" it might not sell as well. Still, a very scholarly approach to the US, Canadian front during the war. I found it interesting and learned a great deal. I rated it a three but more likely a three and a half. For the reader who enjoys reading about early American history, I would recommend it.
