Unabridged Audiobook
Every other book I have read by mark Edwards has been compelling and enjoyable. This one though, is simply appalling. Trashy sex, cringey mother-child sentiment and voice, unbelievable and uninteresting. They create no empathy with the main character to the extent I wanted something awful to happen to her to stop her whinging. In the past I have been impressed you the authenticity of the teenage voice, something hard to achieve, but they both need to evaluate their writing of a child voice and the cloying and desperate sentimentality of the parent. This book is pure trash and massively disappointing. I regret spending my credit on a worthless listen.
