Unabridged Audiobook
I enjoyed the book because it was well written. It wasn't a commercial for how terrific a person he was like many of these biographies. I like that it told his story without dragging his name through the mud but not glorifying him either. Highly recommend this book.
Long, detailed, fabulous. See the real man, flawed in many ways, successful in many ways, fiercely passionate always and right up to the end, a true lover of: life, America, too many women, dear friends, colleagues. A take no prisoners kind of guy, with a deep soft spot at unexpected times. From boyhood, thru any work he could get, thru awful acting, and on to be an accomplished actor. His name became a genre. John Wayne, American.
