Unabridged Audiobook
this story floored me when I read it in print form, the grief resonated deeply with me because I too had suffered a loss and a long lasting grief very similar to Cole's. the loss had been sudden, a car accident, but I lost my mum. it took me years to come to terms. this story is highly emotional, often dark but slowly you feel the light start to creep back into Cole's life, it takes a long time and there are hick ups along the way, Layla and Harper gradually bring him back to life and in doing so they all begin Another Life and I feel Grace was looking down smiling on them happy that finally he was happy again. Troy has done a fabulous job getting over the emotional aspect of the subject matter and the various character voices to separate each one and make them recognizable for the listener. His voice is dreamy easy to listen to but still be able to concentrate on the story as well. As my first audible book I couldn't have chosen better. I love this book in every form it takes, it is my number one and it's going to take a lot to beat it. tissues are needed and I think even Troy needed a few while narrating it judging by the few hitches at times which just added to the story . if I could this would be a way higher score than 5, it would be in the hundreds.
Another Life is the perfect title for this amazing, and emotional second chance in life. The cover is splendid. This story is beautifully written, and has it all: wonderful characters, great storyline, and beautiful ending. It was difficult to write this review and not giving away spoilers, because I needed to talk about it! The only thing I will say is that my heart was shattered into a million pieces, and pretty sure the author rebuilt it in a better way after that. You will need tissues to listen to it. Troy Duran did an outstanding read of the story. He was the perfect choice to bring Cole's story to life. The story has 10 hours, but the time flew by too quickly while listening! I will relisten to this gripping story. I HIGHLY recommend it. Bravo! Looking forward for more books written by K.L. Shandwick, and narrated by Troy Duran.
Amazing book sensitivy narrated.
It was very sad at first and had a lot of angst. Finally the tied changed and it became a romance without much whooing.
