Beauty Queens

I should have read the description for what it was...a teen themed cartoon— filled with stereotypes and dumb bimbettes who will eventually reveal their inner power. Plus heavy handed race and cultural references. I was hoping for a fun novel, but couldn’t make it half way. Though clearly for a younger audience, I don’t think my 20-something year old would like it either. The narration was well done, but played into the exaggerated stereotypes and silly accents of the characters....though I did like Ms Texas.
