Summary
Dee has always been good at preventing anyone from seeing the real her. She is content being the happy-go-lucky best friend, the strong-willed boss, and the independent woman who doesn't need a man. She's terrified that all it will take is one person to make all her carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust.

The second that Beck sees Dee, he knows that she will be his. He sees past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. She doesn't want him to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but he makes it his mission to find out. Dee can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop Beck from coming after her. She's it for him, and she knows it. She's just too scared to admit it.

Contains mature themes.

I think that books that have such heavy details that have such triggering material NEEDS to be included in book details so anyone who suffers with PTSD can be cautiously informed. That way they can be prepared to make decision to read or spare themselves from being blindsided that can cause them to be triggered into an episode. It has a great Romance to it but I think due to such heavy abusive material it should be classified into a separate category then just Romance, at very least Suspense or Dramatic Romance.

Like the stories about these hunks. Dee's whiney voice was really annoying though.

like the Narrators.

The story was a bit darker than I initially realized. The men in this series are all macho and alpha, but their women are never really protected. They’re never there when needed. It’s weirdly predictable at this point.

I find the female narrator a bit whiny but that's partly the text. This series is OK but there a a number of plot holes and inconsistencies which would be annoying if I took them too seriously.
