Summary
To the Green-eyed Lovebird:

We met fifteen years ago, almost to the day, when I moved my stuff into the NYU dorm room next to yours at Senior House.

You called us fast friends. I like to think it was more.

We lived on nothing but the excitement of finding ourselves through music (you were obsessed with Jeff Buckley), photography (I couldn’t stop taking pictures of you), hanging out in Washington Square Park, and all the weird things we did to make money. I learned more about myself that year than any other.

Yet, somehow, it all fell apart. We lost touch the summer after graduation when I went to South America to work for National Geographic. When I came back, you were gone. A part of me still wonders if I pushed you too hard after the wedding...
Reviews

I was not disappointed with this story. I enjoyed the way the author gave back story and tid bits of hints along the way like her pregnancy. I feel that I resonated with the area of time before cell phone were a big deal. It took me back into my time in the 1990! Love it and would love to here more from this author and the narrators.

Although I was sometimes irritated by the actions of the main characters I truly enjoyed this audio. It brought me back to my college days. Good narration too.

I never write reviews, but this story really touched me. I am the exact same age as these characters and have never forgotten my true love I met in my college years. When you are young you are trying so hard to focus on college and your future you think you will meet “the one “ later when you are ready for marriage and kids. Sometimes that never happens. This story has a wonderful way of telling the story of the past and 15 years in the future. There are plenty of twists that I didn’t expect. Looking more into this author and narrators!

How to say this. The story itself might be interesting, but the behavior of the characters and their choices. You wanna slap their faces quite often and on top of that many little things remain unsolved or without apologies. The last thing: I do not get why alcohol and/or drugs are present in many key life situations of the main characters. Then it seems that they wouldn’t have shown their emotions otherwise. To conclude, the book is quite immature.

Really, really good. Loved the memories from the past, tied into the present.
