Unabridged Audiobook
A great addition to the Bill O’Riley collection. A fantastic, PARAPHRASING, edition to Civil War history. Narrative is the best of the best. Although, many details are simplified. Hence the Narrator is entertaining and peaks the interest of the listener. Thank you for the truth. The truth about the WAR of NORTHERN AGGRESSION. Lincoln was in fact a criminal, as the North full of Cowardice generals.
I Enjoyed listening to the book... the narration was very good, , but I found that with description of so, so many battles, it almost became ponderous, it was almost unbelievable that so much bloodshed and lives were lost in these epic battles. It is so sad that these legends of the Civil War are now being vilified as monsters. It is unfortunate that many wish to be blind to the History of this great country....
Bill O'Reilly's Legend and Lies: The Civil War is an engaging, enthralling look at the American Civil War. The author, David Fisher, does a fantastic job of walking us through all the key events that defined this tragic event. The sense of loss and waste that is so familiar with this horrific war is captured in all of its bloody detail. But it is not only a story of loss, it is also a story of heroes. Fisher does a enlightening job of capturing the many people who changed the face of the war. How the confederates came so close to winning and how some battles determined the fate of the entire war. Although titled Legend and Lies it could easily have been called Heroes and Victims. The reader does a faultless job of bringing the text alive. Once I started listening to this audio book I literally could not stop. My one small complaint was that it did not really reveal too many 'lies'. There was some new information and he brought to light events that perhaps have not been covered as much as some others but I was pretty familiar with everything presented here. I'm not an American and yet I thought that I was familiar with most of the content. Despite this small caveat, this is a MUST listen to book. It is well worth the few dollars and perhaps the younger audience will find a lot that is new. Again, this an enthralling book that tells an epic tale. A must get for those, as I am, into history.
Very interesting and curious book. I couldn't stop listening to this book. I've finished with it in just three days. You can hear the all chronology of this war and there are also few interesting stories
