Unabridged Audiobook
Interesting historical account of pirates. A little plodding but still worth a read if you really like pirates.
if you like pirates you will like this book
Excellent content. Narrator a little dry.
Amazing book loved it all
Very dull, not very exciting.
The content was very interesting but the author was boring.
Lots of details about various incidents, but no real insight tying it all together to get idea of what pirating and privateering was like overall. Narrator was okay.
Found this really interesting, his last 20 minutes were dumb but in all it was a great read.
Very enlightening. Don't forget 'Talk like a Pirate Day' in September!
Very entertaining and informative. A good read
boring as hell
OUTSTANDING book. A Buddy recommended this book. Being a West Texan, I have been to many of the places and area in this book. Texas school systems have always been big on Texas history but this book takes it way deeper. It isn’t just this area but from Mexico to Nebraska. It is not just about any particular tribe but white man/Indian interactions. I will probably “read” it a 3rd time. Do yourself a solid & get this.
Not what I was expecting but overall decent book. It’s more information than story form…..
Good read about the "golden age" of piracy. The narrator was a bit dull.
"Black Flags, Blue Waters: The Epic History of America's Most Notorious Pirates" is an amazing book. The lives of the various pirates, their crews, and often the illegal interactions with local businesses is far from the tales and movies we've heard and watched. The character of the various pirates run the gamut from relatively benign if that's possible to murderous villains'. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Interesting historical account of pirates, a little repetitive.
Great listen! Very informative and entertaining! I highly recommend this audiobook if you are interested in pirates
This is a great read if you like piracy and history. Very well written and keeps you wanting more
Great historical account of pirates. A great listen.
If I thought I loved pirates before, I didn't love them right.
Narrator has good diction, but this is not a good fit for a book about pirates. Also mispronounces some English place-names. The book is very interesting and well researched.
interesting and informative.
Good stories. But the narration is lethally dull. Do not listen to this book while driving!
Terrible book
