Unabridged Audiobook
very good book but sadly this is the only book I like out of the three books series
This book had so much potential and just flopped… I’ve read some Nora series that I’ve loved, and this was terrible. I honestly couldn’t believe the ending. I listened through the horrible voices and poorly written, almost offensive female characters, for that ending? I was honestly angry… don’t waste your time..
I think it is a really good book I have not listened to a Nora Robert's book that was not good and kept my attention. this trilogy so far is one of her best
I love the storyline but the narrator is only good about half the time. When he does the women's voices they all sound whiny and shallow the men sound whiny in parts too.
Another great start to a trilogy from Nora Roberts! I found myself in love with these characters by the end and couldn't WAIT to get the next installment! But don't get attached to the narrator and his interpretation of these characters, otherwise you'll be let down by the narrator of the 2nd book.
Sign of Seven Trilogy keeps your waiting for what will happen next. I was so drawn into the story line I hurried to get book #2 "The Hollow". As soon as I hit play I was so let down. The narrator was different which changed the personalities of the characters and the writer didn't use the same style as this book making the whole trilogy a big let down. I will listen to book #3 so I am not forever wondering how it ends. This time though I will be prepared when I hit play.
Absolutely wonderful. Now I have to find the rest of them.
I actually ended up with someone giving me Pagan Stone on cd, once I listened to it, I couldn't get my hands on the first book fast enough, although I know how it ends, the books are well enough written to stand on their own as well as keep you interested in the series! Excellent!
The story was fabulous but the narrator was irritating. He gave odd accents and speech qualities to a couple of characters and made ALL of the women characters sound like they were whining no matter what they were saying. I want to listen to books 2 and 3 but I have to wait awhile to get over the irritation of listening to that narrator project qualities into the characters that are not really there. A New York accent for someone who moved to the city a few years ago is not reasonable when they originally came from the area the story takes place. This was a case of a great story being ruined by the narrator!
I am really "into" this story now and anxious for the next book to be delivered to my door for listening. Nora always delivers, in my book.
