Summary
Elin Hilderbrand, author of the enchanting Summer People and The Beach Club, invites you to experience the perfect getaway with her sparkling novel, The Blue Bistro.

Adrienne Dealey has spent the past six years working for hotels in exotic resort towns. This summer she has decided to make Nantucket home. Left flat broke by her ex-boyfriend, she is desperate to earn some fast money. When the desirable Thatcher Smith, owner of Nantucket's hottest restaurant, is the only one to offer her a job, she wonders if she can get by with no restaurant experience. Thatcher gives Adrienne a crash course in the business...and they share an instant attraction. But there is a mystery about their situation: what is it about Fiona, the Blue Bistro's chef, that captures Thatcher's attention again and again? And why does such a successful restaurant seem to be in its final season before closing its doors for good? Despite her uncertainty, Adrienne must decide whether to open her heart for the first time, or move on, as she always does.

Infused with intimate Nantucket detail and filled with the warmth of passion and the breeze of doubt, The Blue Bistro is perfect summer reading.

The book was not my favorite, was super slow having the same setting the entire storyline. The narration almost kept me from finishing it, I had to speed it up to get through it. I’m a huge Elin Hilderbrand fan and read one while I’m listening to one,

Entertaining story with great narration. I love to listen to a book on a long road trip. Having visited Nantucket, its fun to hear all the towns, restaurants and attractions mentioned.

I love Elin Hilderbrand's writing, it so everyday; plus I love the environment; Nantucket seems like a wonderful place. The characters were well described, my heart broke for Thatcher and Fiona; but their friendship was that to be admired. Adrian's father was a doll!!!

Great summer read. Throughly enjoyed the personality of the characters in the book. I want to have the pleasure of visiting Nantucket one day. The narrator brought the book to life for me.

Loved this book! The descriptions of the food make your mouth water. And, the unusual love triangle - if you can even call it that - is simultaneous heart warming and heart breaking. I wish I could someday dine at the Blue Bistro and love the magical world that is shared in this book.
