Summary
In this #1 New York Times bestseller, Detective Harry Bosch and his rookie partner investigate a cold case that gets very hot . . . very fast.

In the LAPD's Open-Unsolved Unit, not many murder victims die almost a decade after the crime. So when a man succumbs to complications from being shot by a stray bullet nine years earlier, Bosch catches a case in which the body is still fresh, but all other evidence is virtually nonexistent.

Now Bosch and rookie Detective Lucia Soto are tasked with solving what turns out to be a highly charged, politically sensitive case. Beginning with the bullet that's been lodged for years in the victim's spine, they must pull new leads from years-old information, which soon reveal that this shooting may have been anything but random.

In this gripping thriller, Michael Connelly shows once again why Harry Bosch is "one of the greats of crime fiction" (New York Daily News).

Hope Titus does them all.

Love this book and the twist at the end and can't wait to read the next book in the "Bosch" series! Narrator was great. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I usually listen to the book on my drives to and from work, and found myself sitting in my car in the driveway for long periods of time after arriving home! Another Michael Connelly classic.

The story was OK but the narrator was stale and stilted. No real inflection in reading. Sentences read in the same tone. Like duh, duh, duh, duh. Boring narration.

Titus Welliver Harry Bosch perfect. Michael Connelly never disappoints.

Harry Bosch has a hispanic woman as a partner this round. A musician is wounded in a shooting years earlier and finally dies. The bullet is the key as Bosch investigates. She is more than a translator for him and has his back.

I like the Titus Welliver narration. I get why people have written negative reviews of the narration because it's a little less animated than your typical audiobook narrator. But you are listening to the actor who PLAYS HARRY and it's sexy. So shut up.

Titus Welliver knocks it out of the park. I felt like Harry Bosch himself was telling me another great story.

At first I didn't like the shift in narrators but once I realized that this was Titus Welliver who plays Harry in the Amazon show Bosch. All of a sudden, the narration took a VERY cool tone. Give it a chance...he does great character accents. Good story too. The only Harry Bosch story that made me cry in the end.

I love the Harry Bosch series, but this one just couldn't keep my interest. Not sure if it was the story or the uninteresting narration without any inflections or excitement or change of tone... I zoned out of much of it, and that never happens with this series. Disappointing, for sure. Perhaps it would make a better read then a listen. Sorry, Harry -- but I wish I had saved my credit.

A good story but...the narrator has a monotone voice which spoiled the story for me. ASVISE: listen to a sample before buying.
