Unabridged Audiobook
The story idea is good but weakly developed.
Second book of the series and I'm still not sure about it. I am not feeling the whole rapey feel of the aliens in the warehouse where they sell the humans. It's weird and uncomfortable. However, the story was ok. I loved the chemistry between Aren and Droka. Aren is sheltered but strong and a fighter. Droka is headstrong and the captain of the imperial guard and as such had taken an oath to never take a mate. Problem is that Aren is in fact his true mate. Most of the story is about him fighting temptation and trying to complete the task he was initially sent to do but obstacles keep getting in the way. I loved how he fought for her but I was really worried for a while in the middle. All in all, the book was just ok.
Very good Alien romance. It keeps your attention from start to finish. There are some pretty intense moments at the beginning that maybe could have been written differently, very 'Vlad the Impaler'ish, but it gets the idea on how bad these guys are.The books progression is very well done and all-in-all, very enjoyable.
Unexpectedly love the info about space. Clearly a lot of research has been done.
Great book,gifted narrators
