Unabridged Audiobook
Light hearted exploration of a cool concept. I enjoyed this as a "listen while going to sleep" read because it was pretty even keeled while maintaining my interest, and the voices were engaging without being overbearing. The story was more fantasy than I usually enjoy, but I liked it well enough.
I gave it two stars only because i thought the overall concept was really intriguing but it got so convoluted at the end that I gave up trying to figure it out. Editorial issues as well.
Starts out fascinating and proceeds to awful. A magic town no one can see unless they’re looking at it on a map, but otherwise it’s not there? Next time maybe not wait a couple of hours into the reading before letting the reader know that, surprise, it’s a fantasy novel, not a plain suspense story. And some of the voices were awful. Terribly disappointing experience.
