An interesting and well-researched deep dive into the murder of Dr. King. Listening to the book you feel as if you're a bystander watching America change and evolve (we certainly still have an extremely long way to go.) Dr. King, was more than a speech at the Lincoln Monument. He lived and breathed, he loved. He was human, he stood up for truth and justice and while he didn't get to see the promised land as he said. I'm sure Dr. King would be astonished by how far the country has come. Dr. King's assassin James Earl Ray an utterly pathetic and unremarkable man, wanted infamy by any means necessary. His criss-crossing escapades show a man without a plan, and how said lack of foresight was his downfall.
