Summary
In Kristi Ann Hunter's 'Legacy of Love,' Sarah Gooding never suspected returning a brooch to an elderly woman would lead to a job . . . and introduce her to the woman's grandson, a man far above her station. In Karen Witemeyer's 'Gift of the Heart,' widow Ruth Albright uses the family brooch as collateral for a loan from the local banker. But the more she comes to know the man behind the stern businessman, the more she hopes for a second chance at love. In Sarah Loudin Thomas's 'A Shot at Love,' Fleeta Brady's rough-and-tumble childhood means she prefers hunting to more feminine activities. She never expected her family's brooch might be how a fellow hunter turns her attention from competition to romance. In Becky Wade's 'Because of You,' Maddie Winslow has spent years in love with a man whose heart was already spoken for. When a church Christmas project brings them together and she stumbles upon an old family brooch, might it finally be her turn for love?

I really loved these faith-filled stories that are warm as well as interesting as you follow the heirloom through time. Each story was unique and engaging. I highly recommend this collection for quick, easy and entertaining listens. These stories have been my go-to stories when I’m feeling out of sorts. The narration was also good and engaging. A good clean read/listen.

I enjoyed listening to this series of 4 heart warming stories. Parts brought me to tears. All stories are beautifully written and all the narrator's were easy to listen to. Well worth my VIP choice this month.

Loved the diversity of stories with this one object connecting them all. Really cool festive read through the changing of time.

LOVED the first 2 stories, both the stories and the narration were excellent. The 3rd was too gun heavy for me and too religious. The last one was also too religious and not a very satisfying story. All in all worth the purchase just for the first 2 stories though.

This was a hard pass. Very cheesy, predictable and a total waste of my time.

I seem to be in the minority but did not particularly enjoy these . I fancied something very Christmassy as the cover suggested but Christmas is hardly mentioned (more so in some than others). The third story is about a female gunmaker who hunts and kills animals in America, definitely not something I am interested in hearing about and not my idea of a heartwarming Christmas tale. I did enjoy the first two stories which were interesting and had substance but I think they got less interesting until you reached the last which was just so fluffy I couldn’t even finish it. Also note there are lots of Christian references which may not be your thing and is not noted in synopses .

I thoroughly enjoyed these books. Yes they are predictable but I was looking forward to how they got to the end result as well as wanting to know what the relationship to the next person would be. Simply an enjoyable read/listen. Only 4 stars for narrators as the second one was rather wooden and sounded like reading a book rather than performing an audio book. The other three were excellent.

Last novella had some major geographical conflicts with locations in the Pacific Northwest being presented as being the same region even though they are on opposite sides of the state in reality… making it evident the author knew nothing of WA state other than a google search. Other than that, it was still a good story.
