Summary
Daisy Miller is an 1878 novella by Henry James first appearing in Cornhill Magazine in June–July 1879, and in book form the following year. It portrays the courtship of the beautiful American girl Daisy Miller by Frederick Winterbourne, a sophisticated compatriot of hers. His pursuit of her is hampered by her own flirtatiousness, which is frowned upon by the other expatriates when they meet in Switzerland and Italy. (Summary by Wikipedia)

The plot was forced and predictable, but the absolutely terrible narration was a huge distraction. I actually ended up disliking the characters based on how they were so tediously presented. I understand this was Libre Vox and therefore free, but that doesn't make this any more listenable or enjoyable. It was like watching an extended, local commercial for an HVAC company starring the owner's grandchildren, or a middle school play where the actors are oblivious to any sort of subtlety or character development.
