Summary
Class reunions: a time for memories—good, bad, and, as Virgil Flowers is about to find out, deadly—in this New York Times bestselling thriller from John Sandford.

Virgil knows the town of Trippton, Minnesota, a little too well. A few years back, he investigated the corrupt—and as it turned out, homicidal—local school board, and now the town’s back in view with more alarming news: A woman’s been found dead, frozen in a block of ice. There’s a possibility that it might be connected to a high school class of twenty years ago that has a mid-winter reunion coming up, and so, wrapping his coat a little tighter, Virgil begins to dig into twenty years’ worth of traumas, feuds, and bad blood. In the process, one thing becomes increasingly clear to him. It’s true what they say: High school is murder.

I just love these books. Virgil Flowers is my book crush. I am always wanting more when mr sandfords books come to an end. I don’t want them to end. Absolutely love them. The narrator couldn’t be anymore perfect. Can’t wait till the next book. If you havnt read any of these it’s ok you can start anywhere. But I suggest reading them all from the beginning. You won’t regret it.

As a huge Sandford fan, you just can't help love the Virgil Flowers books. Humorous and witty like all of the books in the Flowers series, I really enjoyed this latest effort. I think Eric Conger does a great job with these as well.

I listened to Deep Freeze on a 1200 mile ride. It was very good. As usual the narrator in the Sanford books was excellent. This story was also intriguing and never missed a Minnesota connection. And TF...in Flowers is always entertaining.

Eric Conger is the perfect narrator for the Virgil Flowers books. He makes the characters so real. I find myself laughing out loud when I listen to Virgil Flowers stories and I know it's because of Eric. John Sanford, please write another!!

Interesting read, but it stretches my ability to make sense of reality. I like the winter setting in Minnesota, and the side bar investigation of Ken and Barbie, but the main story line was week. Conger does a nice job with the narration.
