Unabridged Audiobook
Incredible conceptions and visualizations , makes you wonder if Dante’s imagination was enhanced by drugs and or alcohol. It’s very interesting many historical myths and their characters that Dante inhabits his world with. More than half of which has sent me googling names and events . Dante also includes “ current events” and personalities of his time. For the curious and the literate or those like me playing catch up I found it very illuminating.
This needs to be in modern English. After an hour of listening I had to give up. I just couldn’t follow it, in this form.

This is totally beyond my understanding ! Too wordy! And in “Old English “ !! Could not continue with it !!
Great story telling although some what difficult to understand the old way of speaking, love it!
Sure it is in older English but a good translation and interesting. This isn’t Mark Twain or Tom Clancy. It is elegant literature that merits special language. Narrators voice is captivating. Beatrice?!
Since people no longer speak the way this is written it is a bit of a tough pill to swallow
