This book was a life changer!! I never fail to be amazed by "man's inhumanity to their fellow human beings". The book kept me wanting to know more! It put into context a lot of the recent happenings such as the use of poisons in the attempted murder of the former Russian spy and his daughter in England. It highlights the ruthlessness of Vladimir Putin.
Elementary and condescending to reader. Female narrator was just distracting with her levels of southern accent changing to portray different voices. Worst I’ve listened to in a few years, all the way around.
This was a book club book shared with my dad. This made it especially enjoyable. Looking for this to be made into a movie.
Love this series
what can I say this was really good I'm truck driver and I listen to the whole thing in one trip from Kansas to New Jersey and it was well-read to
I enjoyed the book and narration. Having 2 people do voices was a plus - you don't have a 40 year old man trying to sound like a ten year old girl. Not meaning to be negative, but found myself wondering how many people in Pennsylvania have Southern accents.
Enough things going on that one couldn't predict all of the final resolution and figure the guilty parties. Brought up some current problems small towns are facing without preaching.
Loved it, start to finish!!!
I enjoyed the the story and the characters as they
Navigated the twists and turns of the plot.
Another great read from Baldacci! Kept building up the suspense and then the twist at the end. Doesn't get much better than that. Buying six copies for my friends.
Great book. Amos Decker figures it out once again.
I love this series, wonderful narration.
Great to hear
We have been fans of the "memory man" from book one. This has lots of twists and turns and truly evil people.
I really enjoy the Amos Decker character. The Fallen was a terrific storyline that kept me guessing where it would go. Definitely made the time fly on my trip to DC and back.
Can't wait to buy another David Baldacci audio book.
another good book by David Baldacci memory man character is good in this book got a bit long-winded at the end
I'm not good at this but I enjoyed listening to The Fallen very much. excellent plot, well layed out and the characters very believable.
I love the way David Fallen writes. His stories are always intriguing.
It’s nice to have two narrators and I think they both are very good, just not for these characters. To me the voices are far too mature for a 40 year old man and a young teenager, no matter how precociously advanced she is.
The story was easy to listen to but kind of silly. Two completely different plot lines using the same characters really muddled the opportunity to make a really solid story built around the rural drug epidemic.
It kept us awake on a drive. A bit predictable. Female narrator doing Southern accents for Yankees was a little ridiculous. And since it was abridged why not leave off all the “Jamison said” lines after she read a line. Also, there seemed to be some important parts entirely left out that were later referenced.
kept you in the dark until the end
Bored by chapter 2, I could have written this. it reminded me of a b grade movie in the hero always being right and the baddies just plain stupid. I only listened till the end (which at times could not come quich enough) because I paid good money. David Baldacci probably wrote this in his lunch break.
The book was fine but the author reexplains things so often, I found it annoying. The male voice was good, but the female narrator was not good. I feel bad saying this, but it was painful.
Good continuation of a character. I am always looking for a Baldacci book and he delivered again good read.
I just could not get into this book. I really tried to but most of the time I would find my mind wandering. It might be great for some other readers but I guess this just wasn't the book for me.
Fun story. Maybe a little too corny at end, but very visual and interesting twists. DB tried to explain too much at end.
