I really liked this book. Interesting characters, plot and ending. Would highly recommend!

I started listening to this on a 4 hour round trip drive and finished itt he next day. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So good!

Great read from beginning to end! Had me hooked up until the very last page. Lisa Jewell has yet to disappoint me! Definitely worth reading

This, along with „The Family Remains“, were well worth every second of listening, as have been all of Jewell‘s mysteries so far.

Amazing listen! A macob story of family. Remnant of Flowers in the Attic and The Great Gaspy. I couldn't wait and got the second one minutes after finishing the first.

Amazing! Love the plot and narration is exceptional

I had to listen to it twice. After finishing it the first time, I was confused on what exactly had happened because there was a lot of jumping back and forth between the 3 main storylines and with all characters and the past and present timelines etc... I just did not have a good opinion of the book so I made myself go back to the beginning and try to fill in some of the gaps in my understanding of the early story. Then before I knew it I had basically finished the entire book a second time and after that I can say that it was enjoyable and would recommend it.

I say this every time, Lisa Jewel is my favorite author, and this might be my favorite book so far. This book kept me interested and intrigued from beginning to end. There were many unexpected surprises throughout. This author really reels me in and keeps me through the entire book. The narrators also each excellent! Looking forward to my next read/listen.

Another gripping book by Jewell! Couldn’t put it down!

Far, far, far fetched be careful who you invite over. This story is not absent of “who done it” but rather why did they allow it to happen? The children didn’t deserve to have their lives shredded, they were caught in the cross fire of manipulating adults. Narrator does a great job giving all the characters tone and personality. This is my 4th Lisa Jewell book- love how she takes you to a psychological level of pondering could this have really happened?

A very compelling story with a new type of outlook.

This is a good read for summer. Intriguing plot, interesting characters with sufficient development. Great twists and enough mystery to make it not predictable. The narrators were fantastic.

It was a struggle to finish, I wouldn't recommend it.

The book started so slow I had to start it over after I listened to the first 4 chapters but once I did that the story was good... I sometimes would lose places in the book because it went from past to present .but once I got deep into the book I wanted more

slow moving, verbally showy book with a mostly boring plot.

An intriguing storyline, nicely paced. I don't usually like audio books narrated by more than one person but it was fine with this particular book because the narrator changed with whichever character narrated a chapter. The ending was good but some of the later events concerning the whole household became a little too far-fetched for me, which is why I gave the book four stars. Still, a real page-turner (if reading it).
