Unabridged Audiobook
Very good read for beginners I didn't like the narrator listening to him swallow in my ears
Should be a must read for everyone working for small to large companies. Gives you a much better perspective on how finance for companies work and what matters when deciding to work for someone, work on something that will impact the balance sheet or even making an investment in a company. A very very good finance book.
Easy, informative, and important read to understand finance and accounting. Summarizes a lot of the accounting concepts that are essential for MBAs in one simple to read book.
I read this book as a quick refresher of key financial concepts. That said, the book doesn't cover everything you need to know but it is a quick and meaningful reference book. If I were a college professor I would definitely require business undergrads to read it as it talks about the main problems business face today.
This is a practical, example-heavy book that walks through the essentials in the right order. Illustrations of how the P&L, Balance Sheet and SoCFs move in tandem (and don’t) are particularly helpful.
A very useful, practical and easy to read book. Highly recommend this book to those middle to senior managements who don’t have a strong finance background. After reading this book you will be able to understand the financial position of your company better.
Clear, intuitive explanations of the foundational principles of finance and how they translate into corporate success. Concise case histories are used to illustrate the effect of a principe. Metrics presented illustrate the drivers of profit. Interrelation of the financial drivers is powerful and the scope is comprehensive including all the methods of corporate valuation
This is a great book for those needing or wanting to become versed in the basics of financials. The book was easy to understand. I had no prior knowledge of the topic but I was able to follow it and learned a lot.
Wow great book. I have quite a few of these financial statement books but I keep referring back to it over the others. This book helped me visualize an income statement, balance sheet, cash flow sheet in my head and navigate through the numbers. Great great great
This book is for the manager or executive who needs just enough financial decision making chops to know where to look for the bodies, and which questions to ask. Magically the book manages not to be dry; a herculean feat for a book on this topic. Ultimately, It teaches how an individual skilled in the art of finance approaches problem solving. Which is exactly what you should be seeking to understand as a cross-functional leader in a modern organization.
Very good book! If you have no financial experience in your company and want to get there, this will help tremendously. I listen while I drive and then read in the rare slow moments of life. The way they lay it out helps non-financial management get a much clearer picture of what a business should and shouldn't be doing with their numbers.
