Unabridged Audiobook
As with the rest of the series the book and narration was great, the only reason I gave it 4 stars was the random talking over itself/skipping.
Absolutely love this series! It's hard not to skip work and just listen too it all day. The narrator is fantastic and makes the book that much better. I feel like listening to wheel of time on audiobook is the only way with this narrator.
Yet again another great book in the series, though it is a shame that Perrin's part of the story is not advanced at all in this book for some reason (it is in book six) which was somewhat of a surprise to me. But It is still a really good listen and well worth it.
This book was the least interesting thus far in the series. The writing style is still great, but the action/fighting just did not enthrall me. Also, the parts containing two of the main women drives me nuts! The bickering is almost too great. The narration was still top notch.
The best scifi/fantasy series of all time.
Great listen, if you have a lot of time
Another excellent installment in the wheel of time series.
The story goes on and on. Also I am tired of how all the women are portrayed as nasty, evil, power-hungry people. The male and female narrators are not interesting. The inflection they add to all the dialogue doesn't match the characters. The male narrator is the worst.
Great book and narration other than a good bit of skipping in the audio. The only downside was no development in Perrin's story, but the next book handles that.
30+ hours are down, on to the next.
If you are on book 5, you know what to expect. Kate Reading and Michael Kramer are amazing for this genre.
Jordan continues to tell a whole lot, and then let’s the story show us the complete opposite, or at least something different. It’s almost as if he is doing it on purpose to prove some point. It could have been done better if so, and I highly doubt that is the intent.
The book was good, missing out on what happened to Perrin, didn’t go into his story at all. Narration was good, they do a wonderful job! The only thing is the book talks over itself in multiple spots.
Completely awesome, very excited for the next book. Not a bot.
The narrator was great as usual with this book, the audio though in this one is terrible compared to the rest. Many scratchy parts of the audio harsh clipping and repeating of .5 second snippets. The problem persisted across multiple devices with different head phones and made listening unpleasant
Story was good, narrators were great.
This book is Good! But it has some pacing issues. It’s really slow in the first half, but then it explodes! Michael Kramer and Kate Reading are simply amazing (I just hope they will have planned to pronounce Ravine the same way for latter entries). The tape recording has problems here and there, they did not bother me so much. What I found annoying was that there were something like 500 tracks and were NOT divided by chapter. After all, it’s been a really pleasant listen, a good entry for WoT!
Just getting better and better
Love this series! Second time reading it
I love the book, but the track skips really bad in some parts! It either skips or talks over itself.
There were several times that the audio would skip. Not sure why other than that that it was great narration I love how the narrators change depending on who was the first person account for the chapter. Well done!
If you've made it to book five then you should love the story as I do...so I give the book as a series 5 stars. These narrators do a really good job and I enjoy their voices but, as someone else commented in the reviews, I did hear certain things pronounced differently in this book than they were in the previous one.
I’ve read the whole series really good book
Awesome! Wish the audio didn’t skip, but overall book and narrators were great!
great book
good narrator
I really enjoyed this book, though the sound quality was not good. The narrators were excellent! Kate Reading my favorite!
Fantastic series, unfortunately there were Some skips or static with the narration but nothing a reader couldn't fill In themselves.
Awesome audiobook! The whole series is brilliant.
Only issues were with the audio track skipping like an old CD frequently
The book itself was great, it lends to the whole story quite well. It was a little longish in spots but never the less, it was good. The audio left a little be desired though. There were skips and pauses much like the old scratched discs, of which I think this was recorded from.
The story wasn't bad. It was slow at some points, but I am hooked on the series. Michael Kramer is an excellent narrator. Kate Reading drives me nuts in this series. She mispronounces names like crazy. Other than that, I liked it.
