Unabridged Audiobook
The narrator speaks much too quickly and does not change her voice with characters. The book is wonderfully written. The first and third books in the trilogy are narrated by Anne Flosnik. I am enjoying the book for the writing knowing that I will enjoy both the writing and narration of the third book as much as I did the first.
I did not finish this audio book; I will buy the hard copy and read. The narrator of the book is terrible. She has a wispy and slight southern accent. She does not attempt to change her voice from one person to another (difficult to understand who said what). I have listened to hundreds of books and this one I stopped after the first CD because the way it was narrated was more distracting than the words being said. The narrator also read too quickly. Pauses were brief and words were combed together so fast it was difficult to stay focused on the story. Overall, if you read: buy the book and forgo the audio. I am hoping the reader will not be finishing the trilogy. What a shame.
