Summary
I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I've poured my soul into my music, but I've never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I'm going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

This is not a very good book. All the main characters are whining idiots who can’t see past their own nose, and their problems are minuscule. And the sex isn’t even that sexy. I am actually very annoyed I spent money on this. I feel sorry for the excellent narrator who actually did a great job, even though the book is as interesting as watching paint dry.

Playing a high school fight song at a grown man’s funeral was where I almost quit. Then he got up and cried his sob story and I couldn’t handle it anymore. Basically a bunch of people who peaked in high school and a guy who really really hates being famous.

I really enjoyed this book. I have seen the movie, but I think I prefer the book. Go figure. Of course Nelson Hobbs is one of my favorite narrators, especially for cowboy voices.

This was okay, the reviews are a bit harsh. He wanted more than the small town life so he dropped everything, including her, to go get it. Apparently, he doesn’t believe in phones and is incapable of calling any of his previous friends and wants nothing to do with any of them until one dies. Now he wants the girl back and finds out what he’s missed. Never saw the supposed movie.

This is a good book series I wish all of the books was in books Club

Loved the movie and the book is just horrible. Movie is so clean and the book is filthy.

In the first three chapters, every love-story cliche was utilized. Boring. And predictable. If you really like good literature, don’t waste your money on this one.
