Unabridged Audiobook
Any prospective reader should interpret "strange things" in this novel's blurb as supernatural, magical or demonic, take your pick. I suspect somehow the book is borne out of a tradition of cultural folklore and/or fantasy, but I wish I'd realized that before choosing it. Not for me but the narrator did a very good job.
A creative and magical story, transported me into a different time and place. The narrator was exceptional.

I may not have finished this book had I been reading instead of listening to it, as it drops off about halfway through, but I’m glad I finished it because the ending was charming. Narrator is very good.

what a cool and interesting story! I was really surprised with the change around the middle of the story, but it was beautifully done. The narrator was fantastic! she really immerse you in the story and makes you feel connected to the characters. loved it!

Magical, fantasies involving blood sucking and time travel are not my genre. Narrator did a nice job.
