Summary
What would it be like if you were the only human made by Creator and He wanted a relationship with you, but you found it difficult to relate to Him? This award-winning book challenges readers to trust in God in spite of our fears and misconceptions. A compelling, emotional, and thought-provoking allegory of one’s relationship with God.

In this spiritual fantasy, Creator makes one human, named Cherished. Instead of creating a second human to be a companion for Cherished, Creator desires to fill that role. Can this relationship work?

With the help of three Teachers, Cherished struggles to understand and trust Creator in the midst of disappointment and hardship. Cherished endures numerous challenges, all in preparation for the biggest crisis of all. In its underlying theme, this story presents life as a means for transformation provided we learn to entrust our experiences to God.

I found this book to be full of golden nuggets, one's that I will explore on a deeper level. In this day, June 2020, where fear has gripped so many and life is so uncertain, this book communicates hope. Fear is crippling, it states, and pain and fear prevent you from seeing God. As we watch Cherished grapple with his/her fear and pain, I am encouraged to look at my own. In God, I are safe from fear. I am not promised an easy life, however I am promised that God will be with me the whole time. I loved all the different characters. Well done.

This is a fabulous book. It was intriguing and challenging to me spiritually, intellectually and philosophically. It enabled my imagination and yet was solidly grounded it my beliefs and my personal theology. The narration was okay for me, although I am not a fan of audio books. Nor am I a fan of ebooks, personally. Still like a paper version in which I can make notations and highlights for future reference. Not meant to discredit the narrator's effort.

This well written book is to be savored, not rushed through. There are many though proving, yet comforting information. It's easy for us to identify with Cherished.

This book helped me to understand that God is loving. It enabled me to trust God more. I read it while I was going through a really tough time and it helped me through that time. If you like The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, or The Pilgrim's Progress, you will like this book. I encourage you to give it a try.
