Summary
The riveting conclusion to Scott Westerfeld’s New York Times bestselling trilogy that’s “sure to become a classic” (School Library Journal).

Alek and Deryn are on the last leg of their round-the-world quest to end World War I, reclaim Alek’s throne as prince of Austria, and finally fall in love. The first two objectives are complicated by the fact that their ship, the Leviathan, continues to detour farther away from the heart of the war (and crown). And the love thing would be a lot easier if Alek knew Deryn was a girl. (She has to pose as a boy in order to serve in the British Air Service.) And if they weren’t technically enemies.
The tension thickens as the Leviathan steams toward New York City with a homicidal lunatic on board: Secrets suddenly unravel, characters reappear, and nothing is as it seems in this thunderous conclusion to Scott Westerfeld’s brilliant trilogy.

Didn't want the series to end. Talk about a book destined to be a movie, let's hope so. This is a great rest read for all ages and genders. A wonderful introduction to alternate history and a great book for reluctant readers.

Outstanding story! I'm sorry I finished it. Definitely going to play it again. This tale has action, intrigue, intelligent humor and enough historical facts (although creatively connected) to create a realistic backdrop. The series is very well aligned from one book to the next so the reader is able to dive right in to the next book. I'm very impressed with this author and will read more of his work in future. I also must say that the narration of this book series was by far the best of all the books I've heard. Allen Cummings brings the words to life with such vibrant accents and personalities. His narration is smooth and flawless between books as well. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in Steam Punk, adventure stories, historical fiction, or those just looking for something new. All age readers can appreciate this masterful work of fiction.
