Summary
Nearly everyone is familiar with holograms—three-dimensional images projected into space with the aid of a laser. Two of the world's most eminent thinkers believe that the universe itself may be a giant hologram, quite literally a kind of image or construct created, at least in part, by the human mind. University of London physicist David Bohm, a protégé of Einstein and one of the world's most respected quantum physicists, and Stanford neurophysiologist Karl Pribram, an architect of our modern understanding of the brain, have developed a remarkable new way of looking at the universe. Their theory explains not only many of the unsolved puzzles of physics but also such mysterious occurrences as telepathy, out-of-body and near-death experiences, lucid dreams, and even religious and mystical experiences, such as feelings of cosmic unity and miraculous healings. Now featuring a foreword by Lynne McTaggart, The Holographic Universe is a landmark work with exciting conclusions that continue to be proven true by today's most advanced physics, cosmology, and string theory.

If you’re into fringe science and pseudoscience, then get this book. The author makes one outlandish claim after another with very little proof other than stating that the researchers he’s citing are intelligent. Even the so called studies he references, such as people being able to influence the dreams of others, he offers no actual numbers or stats. His attempts to tie LSD trips to visions of the actual structure of the universe are laughable. If you’re into pseudo science, you MIGHT find this book interesting. It’s definitely not for anyone who’s schooled or interested in real science. I feel like I wasted an audiobook credit. The only saving grace was that the narrator was quite good.

it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Honestly, after chapter 3, my brain started to calcify and I'm pretty sure my eyes went cross a couple of times, I'm sure it's a great book for anyone interested in whatever it is their talking about...

I have no idea what I’m listening to. I mean I’m following along conceptually but it perfectly puts me to sleep in less than 20 minutes and that’s a win for me…

This is not a book for everybody! I had an after death experience, so I can relate to it. I found myself in this book, some of my experiences, and most importantly, I found the same beliefs that I came back with from those experiences.

We have to keep us to the facts instead of wishful thoughts with no evidence which every single of us can verify. "mysterious" is equivalent with "no evidence". lf there was evidence, then there was no place for the mystery, pretty much the same as many other things in the world we agreed on.

For me it was a bit too stretched out. Would be an excellent listen if 2-3 hours shorter. Still giving it a 5 star rating tho.
