Unabridged Audiobook
Nora Roberts has always been near the top of my author's lists. This one proved to be right up there with the rest. A short but very sweet story with a great twist!
I recommend the book but only if you read it and not listen with particular narrator. The narrator was horrible, breathless and always made Miranda sound stupid and angry at the world with no let up. If you read the book, you have a different concept of what she is really meant to be. I finally quit the audio version and switched to the actual book.
The abridged version is not worth the time it takes to listening to it. The characters were not developed properly, the entire story jumped around and I found it entirely boring, especially since I knew the outcome from the start. Guy meets gal and get together in the end. Perhaps the unabridged version could have some potential, but that wasn't offered.
I barely got through this one. It was the only one in the car or ele I'd have passed on it.. Not up to par.
I'm a big fan of Nora Roberts, but I really felt like I missed so much of the story with the abridged version. It seemed as if the major points of the story were all highlighted without any background information as to how the situation/characters developed leading up to that point. I was really disappointed at the end.
BORING, didn't get to 3rd disc, sent it back. Boring boring boring boring reader was good, plot was horrible.
