Unabridged Audiobook
The actual book was very good but I don't think Terry McMillan is good at narrating. Her voice is very monotone and almost depressing. She doesn't separate the characters as she reads so at times it was hard to tell which character was speaking. She doesn't read with punctuation so a lot if the sentences sound like run-on sentences. Again, great book but I think she should get a professional narrator.
Loved it! Sounds like she has sat in on me and my girlfriends as we share our stories. We can all relate to the characters....both male and the female ones. Makes a girl want to look up old friends...
Felt like an old friend was back in town. Loved the book.
I really enjoyed this book. I love the characters. Stan was my favorite!
The book was a decent listen. It started a bit slow but built up nicely. The narration was the downside to this book. It was monotone and some of the emotive feelings were lost as a result.
Just brushing up on my Mom's Favorite Author. But a great listen too.
I like almost anything by Ms McMillian! Although a bit slow it did not disappoint!
Not sure why I did get this book. Boring made more boring by the narrators voice.
The book was pretty good! However the narrator should have been hired in or something. Terry’s voice lacked emotions. Yes for the book no for the narrator!
I enjoyed this book and it’s everyday life.
This is an awesome work. If you've ever thought it was too late to try something new, Georgia will inspire you.
Ive always loved Terry McMillian. She kept it real in this book & made me laugh.
I enjoyed this book, though it was a bit slow at points.
Loved it Terry MacMillan had me cracking up at times especially on my long ride home after work.
great book enjoyed the convenience of audio format. i was able to listen to the book on my road trip 6 hours each way. I'm part of a book club and one of the ladies said that she read this book in 5 days and is reading it again.
Absolutely loved it!! Couldn't stop listening then when I got through I wanted to listen to it again.
Very interesting use of language to describe relationships.
