Summary
Judge Jonathan Barnea serves both as a district court and a community court judge. He is committed
to community court as it is an opportunity for him to vindicate his only son who became addicted to
drugs and took his own life. When a community court defendant, who reminds Barnea strongly of his
dead son, knocks on his door one night seeking help, the guilt-ridden judge allows him to spend the
night at his home. This will turn out to have been a terrible mistake, leading to Barnea's arrest and
indictment for sexual assault.
The judge is interrogated by inspector Anat Nachmias, recently back from maternity leave and trying to
juggle motherhood and a challenging police career.
Nachmias recommends indicting the judge with a major crime. The judge's world comes crashing
down. Shortly before the trial begins, Nachmias realizes she has made a grave mistake and that the
judge had been framed by an imposter. Nachmias joins forces with the judge in trying to track the imposter down.

Narrator was great but would have liked a female narrator to handle female chapters or at least a different voice for the feminine characters. Was hard to follow when switching between perspectives/characters speaking, one male voice made it difficult to keep track of who was actually speaking and took a while to get to know the context clues or side characters that were being introduced without any real transition. The ending was a bit rushed as well.

Why didn't the people who recorded this story use a man's voice and a woman's voice? It was absolutley confusing. The whole story is narrated by a man (who has a very good narrative voice) but often, a chapter is told from the woman's point of view, but it is in exactly the same voice so that for about 5 minutes you think it is the man who is "thinking" something! The plot was interesting but the whole project was blown because of the narration choice of those who made it. Probably would not get the same problem in a book as you would pick up on who the narrator was right away.
