Unabridged Audiobook
I really enjoyed listening to Kiss Me First. I thought the storyline was really good. I like how Emmett is with Katherine. He knows he likes her from the moment he lays eyes on her and goes after her. I loved how the story developed and listening to the characters. My only problem was that they both sounded much older than two teens in high school. And the narrator Tatiana Sokolov enunciated each word to the point where at times you could tell she was reading. But at times I got so lost in the story I didn’t mind it. It was worth the listen. I haven’t read the book but truly enjoyed listening to it.
Katherine arrives in Bluebonnet with her sister Penelope, to live with their aunt. She plans to make it her home, to keep her sister safe, is feisty, open to new friends but doesn’t really share why they came to this small town. Emmett Santiago is the towns golden boy, plays football and is always with us two best friends. When he sees Katherine one day, he’s smitten and determined to win her over. Will she fall for his charms? How will he react to her sister? And what about when her mother returns to take her girls back to California? #instaattraction #smalltownromance #sportsromance #dualPOV This is my second book from this author but the first in this series - yep I read them out of order but still loved every minute. Emmett is the strong, self assured hero that Kate needs in her life. She’s strong too but with his support, she’s even stronger. He accepted Kate and Penelope, and always included Penny when it would’ve been easier to dismiss her. He’s a great book boyfriend. It’s swoony, it’s sweet, it has a touch of spice, a touch of angst, but overall it is well written. I’ve enjoyed Anna’s books and am looking forward to reading the others in this series as I loved the side characters and the story development. Yep I’m hooked. I was gifted this audiobook, and loved the actors who read it. The female reader over pronounced some words, which I found annoying, but I loved the tension both readers built in the reading of this book. They were great choices for the characters.
