Unabridged Audiobook
Accent is awful and annoying
What happened to Gregory the turtle?!
Good murder mystery
Good book! Kept my interest!
loved it. I would read it again.
Reader horrible
My God this narration is terrible
Ok story but awful accents .
Easy book to follow. Some tense moments. But too wordy and descriptive at times but overall I enjoyed listening.
Story was okay but narrator’s attempts to do French and German accents was off-putting making the listening less enjoyable.
Terrible, couldn’t listen to narrator for any longer… only got 2chapters in… she really needs to get her accents right if she is going to do them… he sounded like a German war nazi, not French at all… sorry awful!
This is the first book I've read by this author and I actually quite enjoyed it. I'm going to look for more books to listen to. The narration wasn't too bad either except when she tried to put on a French accent. It made her sound like something from a comedy, especially when she was reading a male part. Maybe sticking to just reading books without putting on an accent would be better.
loved it
This is a good listen and the narrator does the book justice as it’s not in a mono-tone voice as in other listens.
Really enjoyed this book . Good story and narrator.
Good book but accents of between French and German not good a bit mixed up
Absolutely loved listening to this book! I was captivated the entire time and cannot wait to listen to the rest of the series!
Stopped listening after an hour, French characters had German accents which I couldn’t get listen to anymore.
This story could have used a bit more research. The pharmaceutical part was unbelievable. Also, an agent scared of her gun?
I loved the story. I thought it was a really good mystery. It was pretty realistic too how they were able to figure out who the killer was. The ending was great. I loved listening to the narrator’s voice. She did a good job reading. However, she would kind of do accents for characters from other countries, which was a good way to give each character their own voice, but she wouldn’t follow through with the accent. She would start out talking with an accent but then would switch to her normal voice in the middle of their dialogue. Either she needs to work on her accents more or just not do them.
Meh. The story is meh. The narration is meh. It takes 8 hours for the author to describe very little action. Very little actually happens but and it takes forever to actually happen. Glad it was free.
The story and the narrator were excellent. Loved it!
Great listen. Story moved quickly and kept me in suspense.
Good book. Narrators French accent sounded more like German at times.
I listened to this book on a long drive. It was a great book!
I really enjoyed the story line. Instantly captivated me and I couldn’t stop listening. Bit of a predictable ending though, what usually to expect with these type of novels.
What a great book! I chose it from the FREE book list. It drew me in and I downloaded book 2 for free and bought book 3&4!! Smart marketing!! I love a free book especially good ones! The narrator was FANTASTIC! ❤️
Left to die, had a lot of redundancy, The author spent too much time in the characters heads The narrator needs to become more believable when she is speaking for the male characters
Overall, my husband and I enjoyed this book during a recent trip! The narrator did a good job of inflecting different character accents. I have to agree with one review in that at times the narrative did get wordy and bogged down the overall flow. But we did enjoy the story and it kept our interest!
GREAT!!!can't find boom two
Love it! Narrator deserves more than five stars
page turner. I was hooked.
Very interesting,well read
Very good. Would love to hear the rest of the series.
Storyline was ok...narration was horrid.
Brilliant book
Love the story enjoyed the thrilling moments and narrator
Narrator was really good . The French accent not quite right but didn’t spoil it for me.
Easy to follow. Happy I could paint my house listening to the story!
Good story, well-written. I'll be getting more from this author. The narrator was a bit stilted at times, but not to the point of distraction.
Very good book. Don’t like murder mystery’s but this one has changed my mind
Good book. Liked the characters. Also the narrator did a good job at all the accents in the book.
Where to begin? We're told numerous times that our heroine, Adele Sharp, is an intuitive, intelligent, first-rate investigator. Good thing, too, because everything she does, says and thinks would indicate otherwise. The plot holes are roomy enough for a division of tanks to be pulled through by the planet's largest pod of blue whales. Who sends a foreign LEO by himself to interview a potential serial killer suspect in a city he's not familiar with and does not read or speak the language! This may be the first book in a series, but it's last work of this author we'll to which we will listen. The narrator is not bad, I do wonder why the names of French characters are given English language pronunciation.
Great narration and good book. my
Was ok but a bit slow and could not get the tension up…
The usual Blake Pierce - excellent.
I don’t even know what to start with.. it was just not the one I was recalling for.
First time with this Author the Narrator I found I lost concern with though
I was involved in the story from the very beginning the story moved along, fluently even know the details were very harsh. I definitely wish to read more of this author . Would definitely recommend this book.
Good but did not like the French accent
Good story. Not a fan of the narrator.
Oh my goodness. Could not stop listening.
Agreed accent was terrible. Ok story.
Too descriptive regarding plants, roads and repetitive in versions
Great thanks
Reasonable story but scene setting too extensive. The reader could be less insipid
I actually enjoyed this book a lot I’ve been looking for new authors I got this in the vip books few months ago I’m looking forward to doing more of this character and author lots of books should keep me listening for a month or so
Really enjoyed the story and Narration on this one . Definitely worth a listen
Good story rest kept me entertained while driving. There were a few places that didn’t quite make sense considering she was a police officer and didn’t ask for back up. Over all a good book. I liked the narrator easy to listen to and understand
Stunning book. Enjoyed listening to it. Cannot wait to hear the next in the series.
Good plot, well written story. Narration: Use of accents especially French not convincing and unnecessary in many instances
The plot started well but was a bitpredictablebytheend. Excellent narrator.
this was pretty good.
really love this book looking forward to the next.
Excellent read. Lots of twists and female heroine
Many grammatical errors by the author. Annoying. But still a good listen.
Great book.
This book got better and better the further you read. It's hard to stop listening. Ready to listen to the whole series.
I enjoyed it
Absolutely outstanding, I couldn't stop listening. Completed it in a day! Highly recommend
Very good story line
well knit story line with clear police procedurals and emotional ties that make Agent Sharp good at her job.
Great book
Very well read, kept me interested good story
I thought it was amazing storyline.❤️
Like the readers voice and storyline

Thought it was a go book

I like it very much
Well narrated . Great listening. Enjoyed the book very much.
Loved the story and narration. Looking forward to book 2!
Really great listen! A surprise find. I truly enjoyed listening on my daily long drives.
Plenty of action and anticipatory moments. Excellently read with all emphasis in right places
Great story. I will definitely be reading more of this series. I really like the characters and the writing keeps you interested.
This is the first book I've listened to by this author and I was not completely disappointed. However, if this book was to stand alone and not have the main character returning in a series, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to search out additional books from this author to listen to. The main character Adele is quite a gem and I'm looking forward to listening to more of her adventures.
This was the first book I've listen/read by this author. I found it amazing. I'll definately be on the lookout for more if their work
Very good, suspenseful book! Can’t wait to hear all of them!!
Interesting
Enjoyed the story but was a little too wordy for.
Great listen
loved it. I would listen
Looking forward to other books by this author and narrator
Hi hum. Predictable, thoroughly average
I really enjoyed the book, love the author's style.
Good book enjoyed it a lot

Good plot sherlock homes type
I absolutely love this book! Highly recommend this book!
good book....
brilliant
Love it it the best
pretty good
A little slow
Well written novel that kept me at the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. Will listen to more of his pieces.
Excellent. I enjoyed it.
Very good ☺️
Really enjoyable with depth to characters.
Good story, well written. Some nice suspense and action scenes. Well narrated except from the french accent in places. Overall an enjoyable book.
I enjoyed the characters and the twists.
Enjoyed the book will look forward to reading next book in series
I do not recommend. Over done writing.
I really like the book it was really captivating and I can't wait for the next one and the author was really amazing she brought the book To Life
I don’t know what was worse, the writing or the narration / French accent. I just let this play in the background until it was done.
Very trite overly simple plot. Narrator grating, especially when trying to do accents.
I loved it. And the fact that it is a sreies of boooks, i now have my head burried in them The narrator was also good a i loved the fact that she tried to give each character a distinct sound or pronounciation of some words. All in all it was very fulfiling.
I enjoyed this book.
Very good storyline. Looking forward to the next book.
Loved listening to it and look forward to reading more of Blake’s books
Really good listen. Narrated well
very good story
Brilliant, i was hooked from the very beginning,,Brilliant Author.
Very enjoyable read. Excellent narrator.
Loved the book and narrator. Great for the road and never boring.
good story...nice twists...accents sound Russian instead of French...
excellent
The story was minimally engaging, had the elements of being a good story but while the outline had promise the details didn’t make it work. Add to that a wildly non-French accent throughout... which is just insulting since especially the Parisian accent is well recognized. Not a series I’ll be following.
Well written murder mystery. The narrator’s use of a French accent made the listening much more enjoyable.
The main character is constantly described in detail ,how she breathes her facial expressions, how she is walking etc, too much uninteresting details I am bored now, very little about solving a crime or much story line. Read enough will find a more absorbing book. Not for me.
Good to have a detective story based On a woman for a change . Plot was good enough, some interesting dynamics. Narration was very good
Listened for 2 of the 8 hours and have hardly any desire to finish. Cannot get into or understand the garbled french language the narrator spits out. Most the many supporting male characters are described as having strong jaws. The story starts out decent, then just seems to ramble on incoherently. The main character, Adell, is portrayed as being so perfect that it's hard for me to relate to her.
I thought it was a pretty good book. Nothing really special about it, but it was an easy listen.
Decent mystery but poor narration and pronounciation
