Unabridged Audiobook
Excellent.
I haven't read Horowitz's other two mysteries in this series but have read his "Magpie Murders" which was very clever and a lot of fun. This was a lot of fun too, and I really enjoyed it until toward the end when the mystery seemed to have been solved but then turned out that it hadn't and then went off on a track that the reader could not have foreseen (as one can do in the Agatha Christie books, admittedly dated now) and dealt with characters that hadn't really been developed that much earlier in the book. Would I recommend this mystery? Yes, because it is much better than a lot of other books out there but the ending was disappointing to me. The narrator was absolutely great, one of the best. He read the story with a sense of fun, which is how the book is written, and he was able to take on the various characters' voices amazing well - he didn't sound like the same person many times. Great!!
