Unabridged Audiobook
Love Ann Cleeves' books but this one made me realize that her plots and characters are predictable. I've recognized it before but in this story, the evil church members, the corrupt business folks and the heroic outsiders are just laid bare. She can do better. These characters are so one dimensional that they distracted from the plot twists which I enjoy in all of her stories. I hope she will drop the stereotypes soon and give us characters that don't pander to the mob.
