In the Society, Officials decide. Who you love. Where you work. When you die.

Cassia has always trusted the Society’s choices. And when her best friend appears on the Matching screen, she is certain he’s the one—until she sees another face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. Now she is faced with impossible choices: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s ever known and a path no has dared to follow . . . between perfection and the truth.

Look for the sequel, CROSSED, and the epic series finale, REACHED!

I wish I could start and stop read/listening to a book if I don't like it or enjoy it ,but it's not the way I work. if i start a book no matter how long it takes i will finish it. I felt like this book was like hunger games, which I did not care for, but I pushed on through it. I would say this book was ok and it wasn't awful just kind of to young for my liking. will try the next book and hope it gets better

Great story to zone out and listen too. Kate did an amazing job with bringing the whole world to life. a fun teenage love story.

Great book. Wish the author had put less focus on the relationships throughout the series, and more on the society, but i still enjoyed it.

I have to agree with Ms Hutchinson. Awesome book (actually read it in paper) but RUINED by the narrator. She made me want to smack her upside the head for making Cassia more spoiled/1 dimensional/and whiny than she was written!

The story is fair but is read in a sing song dreamy voice. There is not very much inflection.
