The tree decorating is barely underway before his phone rings again--a horrific hostage situation is quickly spiraling out of control. Away from his own family on the most precious of days, Alex calls upon every ounce of his training, creativity, and daring to save another family. Alex risks everything--and he may not make it back alive on this most sacred of family days. I admit this was really really good. Plus the level of detail is great.

I breathe a breath of relief every time I hear this narrator. He plays Alex so well that I can't imagine anyone else's voice!

*possible spoilers* First off this is an excellent book.I fully co-sign the listening or the reading of it. I just have a few problems with it. One...Bree as a former police detective should understand Alex's position on things and not be what could only be labeled as a major distraction as he tries to do his job. She does something a former detective would have NEVER done...If I would have heard the words"my wife" or "her husband"one more time!!! much and certainly not for so long. In none of the books was she this animated.Seeing she is 90 she would become LESS talkative, not more . Also last but not least..Since they gave Nana more dialogue you would think the narrator would at least.TRY to sound like a 90 year old Black woman..EPIC FAIL!!!
