Unabridged Audiobook
I would give zero stars if possible. I actually could not tolerate listening to the reader. He gives the same cadence and tone to every sentence paying no attention to what he is saying, only reading the words out loud. The character voices are inappropriate, he speaks too quickly, and I found myself thinking how he could have read the sentence with more meaning and losing track of the story. I finally had to give up and go to another book. Very disappointing.
Anyone who has read “White Fang” or “Call of the Wild” knows that London was a master storyteller. “Mutiny of the Elsinore” is no exception. The voiceover style is a little awkward and distracting, but not insurmountable, as the writing, characters and storyline are so strong.
