Big fan of Timothy Hickson here and I got the book without playing the preview, oops. The narrator's voice is a bit grating with the vocal fry, and don't get me wrong - I'm aware of a lot of the misogyny that surrounds the whole vocal fry phenomenon and it's not usually something that bothers me, but 7 minutes into the book and I'm still trying to get used to/ignore the gravellyness of her voice. Sounds like she could use some soothing honey tea or something... Hickson should have narrated his own book! I'm sure the book itself will be great - will update my review if anything changes :)
