Unabridged Audiobook
Another great book in this series. I love this narrator. She does an great job with all the different voices. I was not crazy about Peabody’s voice at first due to the fact that I did not remember everything about her character. I read this book not long after it came out. But after listening to her more I agree that it is the perfect voice for her character. I am in love with Roark. His voice is so sinful. This series is a must buy. The audio version just enhances my he experience but allowing the book to come alive.
I love the "..in Death" series. I especially like the narrating. I am actually listening to the whole series over for the 2nd time.
This series just keeps opening up one's imagination about the future. Narrator stays consistent with characters
Another great story in the Death Series.
I’m loving this series. At first I missed the narrator from the first 3 books but I enjoyed it all in the end. I’m glad to hear it’s the same narrator moving forward.
I like this series, so I enjoyed this 4th book very much.
This series is so full of shootem up bang bang you are on the edge all the time and then not a little sex a LOT of sex just interferes with it all learned to by pass so I could see what the bad guys were up to!
Rapture in Death keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was a bit slower than the first books. What was annoying (not against the book itself) is the fact that the reader changed. What made it hard was the fact the new reader's tones for each character are drastically different than the previous reader's tones. This reader has Peabody (Eve's assistant) sounding like Gomer Pyle from Andy Griffin, a lot less intelligent than the old reader's voice of Peabody. Rourk's accent is from a different region than the old reader's accent for him. So it takes the reader aback if he/she has listened to the other books. I hope future books go back to the first reader!
jd robb is always a good choice i definitely recommend read them in order
The setting is in the future. Just couldn't get my head around the "future" so it wasn't for me.
I love the '... in Death' books, but this one went a little too far with a scene between Dallas and Roark. I won't spoil want happened, but it was disturbing (it was meant to be). It could have been done by summarizing what happened instead of all the detail and the point would have gotten across without leaving the reader feeling disturbed (these books are supposed to be entertaining).
This book is a good mystery. It isn't as obvious as some, but really, I figured it out about half way through. The storyline is realy cute and romatic though, so it is nice to read.
Another great story in the Death Series. It makes you wonder if in fact someone has developed the mind controlling music as in this story. Looking forward to another in this series.
Another excellent story with Dallas, Roarke and Peabody. I am a hugh fan of this series and would highly recommend.
I was not dissappointed. The continuation of the life of Eve and her wonderful man was great. I don't know which I enjoy more, the love story or the murder mystery. Great writing. Can't wait for the next one. I started with Nora Roberts but think I look forward to the J.D. Robb books more.
Okay listen not as much drama or mystery in this book. More sexual than the other stories in this series.
