Summary
Award-winning author Benjamin Percy presents an explosive and deeply layered literary thriller set in the American West.

They live among us.

They are our neighbors, our mothers, our lovers.

They change.

When government agents kick down Claire Forrester's front door and murder her parents, Claire realizes just how different she is.

Patrick Gamble was nothing special until the day he got on a plane and hours later stepped off it, the only passenger left alive, a hero.

Chase Williams has sworn to protect the people of the United States from the menace in their midst, but he is becoming the very thing he has promised to destroy.

So far, the threat has been controlled by laws and violence and drugs. But the night of the red moon is coming, when an unrecognizable world will emerge...and the battle for humanity will begin.

This is a fantastic listen. It's an intricately woven tale of love, science, fantasy, action, and ultimately hope. Running a strange parallel with our political climate right now, the author has an uncanny ability to draw a reader (listener) in and make them NEED to hear the next chapter. Speaking of the author, he's also the reader. The passion and depth of his commitment to the story makes it so easy to fall into and devour. Even if you don't think you would enjoy a "werewolf story" you need to give this a listen. There's so many more story lines than just that one, but none of the others would be the same without it.
