Unabridged Audiobook
I don't normally review books, written or audio versions BUT this one calls out to me to do so without any hesitation. This is the second time I've read this book and the first time I've listened to it! I prefer audiobooks over their written versions and an excellent narration such as Holden Still has done with this work takes it to a new level of adventure. The story line is fairly fast paced and even often zooming down the road at the speed of Winter Rose's motorcycle! The development of the characters is awesome and you soon take sides and have your favorites. Having read the previous two books in the Road King Chronicles I feel you, the new reader, will have no problem getting to know the characters for the first time rather than having the slight advantage of a 'larger' history of them by having read 1 & 2 of the series as well. The author, Harry Harrigan goes into tremendous detail on history (in particular Custer's last stand), armament of the time as well as modern and of course, motorcycles! So if you're into these subjects you'll get accurate, well-resourced knowledge laid out in a most entertaining fashion and even if you're not; my bet is on you thoroughly enjoying this read, as I have, AGAIN!
