Unabridged Audiobook
i didn’t feel as connected to this one as with wool because there are new characters that i haven’t “seen” or pictured yet… based on the show. but this one is a prequel … it is really good! i’m finding that i am enjoying the dystopian society more than i thought i ever would. now im anticipating reading/listening to the third one AND the new seasons being made for tv. i love how this one is a lead up and gave more reasons as to why the silos began and how they keep running. it is an interesting yet eerie concept that both frightens and completely intrigues me.
Great read and follow up! At first I was skeptical as they were starting a new storyline but it was perfect! Look forward to finishing the series.
Loved that it took off right where the first book ended!
Hard to follow, I had to reread it after finishing the series to actually absorb what’s happening. The author elaborates on unimportant details and emotions and then skims over important points that needed more explanation and elaboration. I’m only noticing this the second time around
First, this isn't a happy or uplifting read. And yet still compelling. The beginning was a bit confusing and it took a bit to get invested into it. The writing and narration are superb. There was only one part I disliked how it was handled. The author perhaps rushed it. SPOILER- When Charlotte is woken her easy acceptance of what has happened seems odd. No questions, no mental issues, no how could this be happening. Just takes it and goes to work. Odd. As with Wool we're left wanting answers.
The book put a lot of pieces together. Never saw the revenge coming
