Unabridged Audiobook
Jessie Weston’s translation was a little hard to follow. It used archaic language typical of 19th and early 20th century fairy tales and fantasy, but it made sense for this one considering the subject matter. The language does make for some really flowery and poetic language, though, as befits the nature of the story being a poem, so that was good! The narrator, Matthew Schmitz, was absolutely phenomenal. They really brought the story to life even when I wasn’t exactly sure what was going on.
