Summary
"Somewheres on the jungle world of Jumala, there was a man in hiding—a man whose mind had been reconditioned with another's brain pattern and for whom there was a fabulous reward. Star Hunter is a thrill-packed account of that other-worldly game of hide-and-seek between a man who did not know all his own powers and an interstellar safari that sought something no man had a right to find...." Interesting story, but hard to follow the monotone narrator.

I loved it, keeps you on your toes.

When I focus the plot seems quite interesting but the voice of the narrator makes anything sound like an unimportant part of the story, one you can skip and not lost anything - it makes the mind wander instead. Couldn't finish.

Good classic sci-fi worth listening to despite a lack lustre narrator.

Some good action midway and after. Good plot with a few upsets. Worth the read. Well put together. Narrator probably a 3. Limited voices and sounded like constant dry mouth although articulate.

Really good read, a nice twist at the end. The narrator was really good.

No clue if the book is any good because I can't listen to this past the first chapter. The recording quality is noticeably worse than the paid books. Narrator is dull, monotone and offers a limited range in voices. It's free so I guess there's that.

an interesting story.. weak audio book. narration was very stilted. Audio has recording anomalies.. quite a few mike pops etc. throughout.

I’m sorry but I couldn’t get past the first five minutes because of poor narration.

Couldn't deal with the mouth noises on this one, really low quality recording and just so much squelch.

Good listen, entertaining if a bit predictable. Well read

Liked the story. Little bit old fashioned language, and narrator not toneless, but emotional-less

This story is quite dated. The alien life forms are not described all that well, I mean some are described more than others, but I didn’t have a complete sense of any of them. The narration is done with quite clipped diction that began to get on my nerves about half way through and it was only that I’m a ‘completion-ist’ that kept me listening to the end.

Hard to listen to couldn’t tell when there was a different person Sounds like she was to close to the mice

Interesting premise. Norton describes painful situations realistically, and his characters are very believable. The narration was adequate, with only a few miscues or mispronunciations. In the effort to be understood, the narrator sometimes over-enunciated, rendering some sections a bit stilted.

Not the best, but that’s just my own opinion.
