Unabridged Audiobook
I have never read any of these before, but, as with all of John Muir's writings, they are worth the listen, if only to better understand our nation's formative years. Yet, his lyrical prose brings forth images and detailed information that enrich one's worldview. Some essays are more scholarly than mere descriptive adventures into wilderness, but all are worth a listen if the listener has the wonder and determination to better know this great man, this founder of true conservation. Almost all the narrators, and there is almost one for each track, are good. I recommend this to any John Muir fan.
