Swimsuit

I cannot believe how this book ends. I don't want to spoil it, but it'd be about equivalent to finishing Silence of the Lambs with the serial murderer, he slipping on a banana peel and dying. The End It felt like he had to get the book out to meet a deadline so Patterson just vomited on the last chapter of the book and sent it in to the editors.

I could not finish this because it was too violent for me. I am sure it was written well, but I just did not want to hear all of the violent details.

I have to agree with the other reviews. I normally like James Paterson books, but this one was disturbingly violent. It tries to help you understand the mind of a sociopath, but that's not where I want my mind to go. There's too much of this gratuitous violence out there. No need for more of it. I would not recommend this book.

Didn't last through one CD. I am considering never reading/listening to another Patterson book. Why would anyone write a book like this? Graphic violence just for the sake of it? Don't put it on your list. That's my advice.

I am a long standing Patterson fan but I was surprised by how violent and graphic this one was. I also found the ending somewhat anti-climatic. It still has an interesting and fresh plot, a sadistic and engaging killer and overall great action. Be warned, the violence and death scenes are grisly, there were several times when I was tempted to fast forward through them.

I usually love Patterson, but this book (maybe because it was oral) was just too violently graphic for my taste. I stopped about two hours into the CD.
