Unabridged Audiobook
This was not my first ride in to the dark of the deadly curiosities on display in the world so wonderfully crafted by Gail. Although this was my first full-length venture in to the world of deadly things that bring Cassidy, Teag, and Sorren together in a antiques shop of curiosities most of which are dangerous, deadly, forbidden. In Tangled Web, we find that Cass, Teag, Sorren will need all the help they can get to deal with the storm coming their way. I have to say that my favorite part of the story (outside the super narration) was the characters, their bonds, their complexities, their individual characteristics. Then there was the fab-world building for modern-day Charleston, SC with all the extras (paranormal and fantasy) in place. The intrigue in the plot and the mystery of following how it all played out. Narration for me added an additional layer of enjoyment with this adventure at Trifles & Folly or should I say in Charleston, SC and the entire east coast America. The audio was smooth and flowing. The diction, tone, and pitch allowed for distinction in characters and set-up or downs for the ebbs and flows of the story. ****** I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Gail Z. Martin. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
Tangled Web is the third installment from the Deadly Curiosities series. Gail Z Martin's weaves together one spooky and mysterious tale. I had the pleasure of listening to the audio version of this book. I enjoyed hearing Therese Plummer's voice performing how this story is supposed to be told. I loved how she portrayed the characters. I kept finding myself continuously wanting to hear what would happen next. I would love to read the other books from the Deadly Curiosities series. I give this one a well deserved five plus stars. I recommend it. I received the audio version of this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
I received this audiobook for free in return for an honest review. I love the narrator's voice throughout the whole story, very easy to listen and understand and helps portray the story very well. The characters are so interesting and easy to like! The story is great and I look forward to reading/listening to more from this author.
