She's accidentally destroyed a dozen cars. She's a target for every psycho and miscreant this side of the Jersey Turnpike. Her mother's convinced she'll end up dead . . . or worse, without a man. She's Stephanie Plum, and she kicks butt for a living (well, she thinks it sounds good to put it that way. . . .).

It begins as an innocent trip to the deli-mart, on a quest for nachos. But Stephanie Plum and her partner, Lula, are clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time. A robbery leads to an explosion, which leads to the destruction of yet another car. It would be just another day in the life of Stephanie Plum, except that she becomes the target of a gang

and of an even scarier, more dangerous force that comes to Trenton. With super bounty hunter Ranger acting more mysteriously than ever (and the tension with vice cop Joe Morelli getting hotter), she finds herself with a decision to make: how to protect herself and where to hide while on the hunt for a killer known as the Junkman. There's only one safe place, and it has Ranger's name all over it

if she can find it. And if the Junkman doesn't find her first. With Lula riding shotgun and Grandma Mazur on the loose, Stephanie Plum is racing against the clock in her most suspenseful novel yet. Ten Big Ones is page-turning entertainment, and Janet Evanovich is the best there is.

This book delightful. Each character is unique. I only "read" in my car (just a personal pact with myself or I'd never get anything done) and I found myself looking for reasons to go places just so I could listen.

As usual, I enjoyed the misadventures of Stephanie Plum. Her situations crack me up. It amazes me that Evanovich can keep writing Plum books that don't bore me. I love the humor. SOME of it gets predictable, but still very enjoyable.

The only issue was the sound was distorted when Bluetooth connected to vehicle audio system.

I love this author's work. Stephanie Plum series is my favorite. Lots of suspense and great humor.

Of the many Plum books I've read, this is one of the skipable books - Stephanie proves to be inept in almost every area and you really wonder how she hasn't gotten killed yet. Aside from solving a mystery involving Ranger, not much goes on. In addition, now that it's Book 10, her "confusion" over who she loves is a little old and rather insulting to all parties involved (including the reader). Not Evanovich's best work, unfortunately.

This is my first Stephanie Plum novel and I am still trying to decide if I like the book. It is very "light" reading compared to JD Robb/Nora Roberts or James Patterson. The main character gives me flashbacks to being 18 instead of late 20's so I have a hard time with her mind-set and how silly some of the characters are. This is book 10 and it is a good "first read" for a "Stephanie Plum" novel, I will probably move forward with the series but don't have a great desire to read the ones written prior to this novel. If you like an intense mystery thriller, this won't be the book for you.

Janet Evanovich always spins a great story with a good deal of comedy, and this book hits the mark. I would have like a little more Ranger and less about his selection of clothing and soap. A really fun time with Stephanie Plum!

I know these are formula books, but this one was really good! Of all the Stephanie Plum novels, this was my absolute favorite. And the narrator is amazingly good. It really seems as if different people are speaking and her voices are so believable. This was a really fun story. Loved it!

Being a Christian woman, I didn't find this book appealing.

I think Janet Evanovich is starting to plagiarize her own material. Stephanie Plum, her family, her lover, and her "boy toy" are very entertaining in the first, second, or third book that you read. By the fourth, fifth, or (heaven help you) the tenth, it's just Stephanie's in trouble, Stephanie's family is crazy, Stephanie's conflicted about love, Stephanie's hot for Ranger, yadda, yadda, yadda. If it's your first introduction to the Stephanie Plum series, by all means, get it. If your coming back for more, don't bother.

Stephanie is such a mess. And Lula made me laugh out loud. I loved this one the best so far. Joe's a hunk and Ranger is next - - whew, be still my heart. Janet, you've done it again. Great job.

This is my 3rd book in the Stephanie Plum series (12, 11, 10). I'm hooked! Janet Evanovich writes hilarious dialog and situations for her quirky, lovable characters. But, it is truly Lorelei King's masterful narration and clever voices that make these books a “laugh-out-loud”, “pull-your-car-over” experience.

The Stephanie Plum series just keeps getting better. I find myself laughing out loud throughout this book. And truthfully - how many of you that have read this book also found yourself at the men's cologne counter searching for Ranger's shower gel...

Excellant - recommend listening or reading all her books. They make me laugh and are very entertaining. Don't have to remember who the characters are and the relationship.

The typical Stephanie Plum book. A little mystery, a little adventure and a whole lot of fun. I try to imagine casting these books (I have read/listened to all 10) in a movie and can't decide who should play Stephanie. I hope Janet Evanovich continues to crank out a new one every so often. The adventure is far from over. Joe or Ranger?? Anybody's guess.

I loved Evanovich's first book and have continued to buy and read the collection in hopes she will not try to be so cute. She has become too predictable and silly. Maybe it is the voice of the reader on the tape, but I didn't enjoy this book enough to pass it on to my friends that are normal readers of hers.

I love Janet's books! All are fabulous. I wish C.J. Critt would only narrate them, though!
